Zunoma Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Below is Zunoma’s currently unaudited baseline and current emissions measurements as reported to the BPIF utilising ClimateCalc.
Since Zunoma have only begun measuring baseline targets we expect emissions to continue to reduce due to implementation of completed carbon reduction.
We project that using previously implemented measures carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 1000 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 25%.
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2023baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes is unmeasured to date, but the schemes and measures will be in effect when performing the contract.
Completed projects are:
– LED Lighting throughout the factory and office
– Ensuring our suppliers have ethical carbon reduction schemes
– Gas reduction in the factory (Vickers)
– Cycle/ walk to work schemes/car share schemes
– Implemented policies to reduce employee travel and flights
– Implemented waste reduction and recycling policies
– Energy efficient equipment buying policies
Zunoma are accredited and certified for ISO14001.
Although we are still measuring the value of the impact of these schemes, we are positive they have had an impact in reduction of energy and wastage and put Zunoma on track for projected reductions.
In the future accelerate carbon reductions we will require the introduction of additional schemes to meet our emissions targets. As such we are working toward the following future objectives:
– Solar capture where possible utilising the factory roof space.
– Wind turbine power consideration
– Replace fleet with EV
– Ensuring any bought in energy is via green certified tariffs
– Ensuring new equipment continues to be as energy efficient as possible
